Cenfluence
Launching Central Florida’s industry cluster initiative
Summary
Cenfluence was established by Orange County Government and the Florida High Tech Corridor to stimulate and diversify Central Florida’s economy. As a new economic development initiative with ambitious, global-reaching objectives, a distinct name, brand strategy, and integrated marketing strategy were needed to attract members and collaborators. Within months of launching the new brand and marketing, we reached the initial cluster member target goal. With the success of its initial launch, Cenfluence has recently expanded, welcoming a new fifth cluster (Semiconductors) as part of a unified effort involving the Orlando Economic Partnership and Osceola County.
The mission of Cenfluence is to unite industry clusters and catalyze cross-industry collaboration to propel them beyond our geographic borders so they can magnetize national and international partnerships and commerce for the benefit of our region.
By definition, confluence is the act or process of merging. The name we conceived includes a spin on confluence and also evokes the influence that this cluster initiative will have on Central Florida’s economy and reputation. The Cenfl replaces Confl to celebrate Central Florida.
